For many companies, one of the most complex aspects of metal fabrication is prototyping. Many companies approach prototyping in a different manner than regular production conditions and procedures, leaving the finished product to be more model than prototype. Often times, construction must be completed in a different manner than under regular production conditions and procedures.

At Great Lakes Manufacturing, our significant investment in state-of-the-art equipment and systems allows us to produce production quality prototypes with lead times ranging from six weeks to as little as ten working days from the approval of drawings. You can rest assured that the prototype created by Great Lakes will be of the same quality as the next 10, 100 or 1,000 units. We can manufacture the prototype from any format of CAD drawings. If you've got a great idea and don't have drawings, our engineering team can create them for you. If you have a rough model or pattern, our Virtek laser part scanner can create the proper DSX files for us to work with.
